A Little Fancy Doesn't Have to Mean Expensive
There seems to be a funny little assumption about Wander.
Because the lights are low, the wine list is long and we occasionally put caviar on things, people sometimes assume that coming here must be expensive.
We probably haven't done enough to correct them.
The truth is, we've always wanted Wander to feel like the little wine bars we love in Europe — places you can drop into without needing a birthday, anniversary or expense account as an excuse.
Have one glass of wine.
Order something delicious.
Share a couple of plates.
Stay for another round if you're having a particularly good Tuesday.
That's it.
And lately, as the price of dining out has climbed pretty dramatically, we've realized something else: Wander is actually a pretty darn good value.
That isn't because we're cutting corners.
And it isn't because everything needs to be on special.
It's because we would rather price our menu fairly to begin with.
We want you to be able to come in for Apéro and have a $10 glass of wine.
We want you to be able to stop before dinner, meet someone after work or order a few things for the table without feeling as though every visit to Wander has to become
A Whole Thing.
We love a big night out, too.
But Wander doesn't require one.
Maybe that's our particular version of luxury:
Good wine.
Delicious things to eat.
A beautiful room.
People you like.
And a bill that doesn't ruin the mood.
No special occasion required.
